Overview

Dublin Airport Authority (daa) engaged SevTech to define a three-year Technology Strategy for its IT department.

Through a structured consulting approach, SevTech facilitated workshops with IT stakeholders, gathered business and technology requirements, and benchmarked daa’s IT organisation against similar-sized airports. The goal was to create a roadmap aligning technology investments with daa’s operational and strategic objectives.

Challenge

daa’s IT department needed a cohesive Technology Strategy to support digital transformation, enhance operational resilience, and optimise IT investments. The key challenges included:

  • Aligning IT priorities with business goals.

  • Evaluating the existing IT organisation structure.

  • Benchmarking IT capabilities against peer airports.

  • Ensuring scalability and efficiency in future technology investments

Solution

SevTech conducted a series of collaborative workshops with IT and business stakeholders to assess current systems, pain points, and future needs. A benchmarking study compared daa’s IT structure and size with three similar airports.

Using these insights, SevTech developed a three-year roadmap covering infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital innovation, and IT governance, ensuring alignment with daa’s long-term strategy.
